Bruce Power Duncan Hawthorne Tribute

After more than 25 years in the Power Engineering Business, and as a leader in the North America's nuclear sector, Duncan Hawthorne, President & CEO of Bruce Power, is set to retire. As a steadfast advocate for creating healthy and safe workplaces, he set the bar high in his own organization and challenged leaders in every sector across the province and across Canada to do the same.

Duncan was the driving force behind the original CEO Health and Safety Leadership Charter and most recently helped to build the CEO H+S Leadership Network in Ontario. At our CEO Roundtable Event in October of 2015 Duncan, who was our guest speaker, said "There has never been a business book written on how to regulate your way to excellence. Excellence demands active leadership and commitment to safety that places it above all other goals." We wish Duncan a very happy retirement and we thank him for all that he has done to create a culture of Health & Safety in Ontario.
